Tape Transfer Service - Terms and Conditions
Our service is subject to the following conditions.
- The fee of £14 per tape must be paid in advance. For this we digitise the tape, transfer it to two premium grade DVD's, and post the DVD's to a UK address that you provide.
- If you want your tapes returned then the fee is £15 per tape paid in advance. For this we digitise the tape, transfer it to two premium grade DVD's, and post the two DVD's and your original tape to a UK address that you provide.
- The tape's you send us must be on either VHS, VHS-C, Digital8, Video8, Hi8, or MiniDV tape, and must be in PAL format. (The PAL video recording format is used in the UK, so if the camera/camcorder was purchased in the UK, then your video tapes will be in PAL format).
- We do not process tapes that in our opinion are damaged or unplayable. In this instance, we will return the damaged or unplayable tape and charge a packaging and handling fee of £4 per tape, the remaining balance from the fee you paid us will be refunded.
- You must have permission of the Copyright holder to duplicate the tape contents. If you made the tapes then you are probably the Copyright holder.
- Any loss or damage of material (including video and/or audio material) supplied to us by you is limited to the cost of the media alone.
- You are responsible for the cost of delivery of your video tapes to our premises.
- Upon taking possession of the finished product, the client must inform Mercury Vision in writing of any technical or other problems with the DVD's. After 14 days, if no written notification has been received, the client will be deemed to be satisfied with the product.
- The tape's you supply will be in Standard Definition, and the DVD's we produce can be viewed on High Definition TV's. Please be aware that some High Definition TV's are not ideal for viewing Standard Definition material, this is especially true for TV's that are greater than 32 inches in size.
